Dr Bridget Maher

The VTS community at UCC mourns the passing of the wonderful Dr. Bridget Maher on May 1st 2017.

Always vibrant and full of energy she played a crucial role in bringing arts to the student curriculum at the CoMH.

She worked tirelessly to showcase the creativity of students and healthcare practitioners in her role as Director of the Jennings Gallery. 

One of UCC's first VTS facilitators, she was passionate about teaching and promulgating the Visual Thinking Strategy and was directly responsible for its integration into the medical curriculum.

Our sympathy extends to her husband Con, her mother Nellie and her children Helen, Joanne and David.

May she Rest in Peace.
