UCC hosts Education & Student Affairs office assistants from Erasmus University Rotterdam

The Deputy President and Registrar's office, University College Cork, welcomed a visiting group of office assistants from the Education & Student Affairs unit of Erasmus University Rotterdam on November 18th to 20th, 2025. 

The Deputy President and Registrar Prof. Stephen Byrne welcomed the colleagues: Nicole Pataca - de Paepe, Petra Persijn, Renée Visser-Bonefaas, and Lous Schouten.

The visitors had a busy two-and-a-half days full of discussions with colleagues from across UCC, covering topics ranging from the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence in daily work, to student societies and clubs management, student financial supports and exams organisation.

The visiting colleagues also made a special presentation to UCC staff, featuring an overview of their own department and an introduction to some of their own best practices in utilising systems for scholarship management and student meeting appointments.

Nicole Pataca - de Paepe commented on the visit, "I thoroughly enjoyed the exchange. It was interesting to talk and discuss with colleagues and to see how you organise things for students. The university itself is also beautiful!"
