Food and Nutritional Sciences Transition Year Programme |
Runs from 13 to 17 April 2026. Programme includes ‘hands-on’ experiments in our laboratories and includes a ‘fun with food’ workshop, a day in our bakery making breads and pastry, a workshop on smoking and salting meats, a day in Nutrition learning about techniques in nutritional assessment, a workshop on dairy processing.

Tyndall Transition Year Programme |
Applications will open soon. Programme runs from 3-6 February 2026. The programme gives transition year secondary school students a flavour of a week in the life of a researcher in Tyndall's world-class research facility as well as the opportunity to learn about topics like electronics, sensors, materials science, electrochemistry, photonics and physics through talks, demonstrations and lab tours and hands on activities where possible.

The School of Film, Music and Theatre at University College Cork is now inviting registrations for the Transition Year Creative Arts Programme 2026. It will take place on 10–12 March 2026
This engaging three-day intensive is designed for Transition Year students who are curious about creative studies at university level. Participants will explore film and screen media, theatre and performative practices, and music through practical workshops, meet current students and staff, and experience day-to-day life on campus.
