In this paper, Jo D’Ambrosio Wolf, the current Gerard T. Wrixon Postdoctoral Fellow, discusses colour terminology in medieval Irish medical writings. The paper analyses the curious use of buide (‘yellow'), the medieval Irish form of modern Irish buí (‘yellow’), in the pathology of plague.
