The INHALE Project

The INHALE research team in the School of Public Health will investigate possible ways of linking air quality monitoring data and health data to extend the capacity for extensive and ongoing environmental epidemiological research. This research will be done in collaboration with the Environmental Research Institute in UCC. The project is funded by EPA Ireland and is co-funded by the HSE. The project will identify and recommend improvements to the existing data infrastructure to enable effective use of health data in research for evidence-based policy decisions and cost allocation.

This project is funded under the EPA Research Programme 2014-2020. The EPA Research Programme is a Government of Ireland initiative funded by the Department of Communications, Climate Action and Environment.
