October Workshops in the City: Poetry as Commemoration
Join award-winning poet and lecturer Dr Ailbhe Ní Ghearbhuighin in Cork City Library on Wednesday 5 and 12 September for two Irish-language creative writing workshops.
Dr Ailbhe Ní Ghearbhuigh, an award-winning poet and lecturer in the Department of Modern Irish at UCC, will host two creative writing workshops in Cork City Library.
These workshops will run on two consecutive Wednesdays in October, the 5th and 12th, and is organised in partnership with Poetry Ireland and UCD Library as part of the Poetry as Commemoration initiative.
Using prompts from the archives, participants will reflect on various aspects the War of Independence and the Civil War to create new work.
No prior writing experience is required; everyone is welcome to attend.
