Child Protection Removal Systems in Europe Video Series

This video series presents an accessible introduction to child protection removal decision-making systems in 9 regions: Finland, Ireland, Norway, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom (England, Wales and Northern Ireland) Estonia and Hungary. The contributors are leading academics and researchers with extensive knowledge of these removal decision-making systems.

These videos will be of interest to students, researchers, practitioners and academics in social work, law, social policy, sociology and political science. Each video provides additional reading recommendations for further information. 

Videos 1-7 were funded through an Irish Research Council grant under the New Foundations Scheme and videos 8 (Estonia) and 9 (Hungary) was co-funded through the Rights, Equality and Citizenship (REC) Programme of the European Union. The video series was produced by the Child Care Proceedings in the District Court research group and the IDEA project which is comprised of staff from the School of Law and the School of Applied Social Studies (social work).
