ACE Winter Conferrings 2017

Students from all over Ireland received Certificates, Diplomas, Higher Diplomas and Masters Awards in a wide range of academic disciplines. Our warmest congratulations to all our graduates and the very best wishes for your future endeavors! It was a wonderful occasion and we were delighted to share it with you all.

Adult Continuing Education, University College Cork (UCC) held its Winter conferring ceremony on Thursday and Friday, 16th and 17th November, 2017. Students from all over Ireland and beyond received Certificates, Diplomas, Higher and Postgraduate Diplomas, and Degree Awards in a wide range of academic disciplines.

This year marked the first cohorts of students to graduate from the BSc in Credit Union Business and the Certificate in Procurement Management. This is also the first time that students from Netwatch and Alliance Worldwide Care, Dubai, will graduate in the Higher Diploma in Leadership Development. The Diploma in Autism Studies will see graduates from centres in Cork, Dublin, Galway, Kilkenny, Limerick and Wexford, while the Certificate in Mental Health in the Community saw graduates from centres in Cork, Dublin and Kerry.

Lifelong learning began at UCC in 1946, when then President Alfred O’Rahilly made it the first Irish university to launch outreach education programmes. The diversity of programmes and the backgrounds of students have changed considerably over the decades, but ACE has maintained a commitment to delivering programmes to the highest academic standards. The graduation ceremony acknowledges the educational achievements of the students, many of whom have combined their learning with work and family commitments.

Congratulations to all those who completed their programme of study at UCC.
