9th Eli Lilly Symposium in Organic & Pharmaceutical Chemistry

The 9th Annual Eli Lilly Postgraduate Research Symposium in Organic & Pharmaceutical Chemistry took place on Friday 16th September 2011. The event, sponsored by Eli Lilly was once again a great success.
10 Postgraduate students currently undertaking research for Ph.D. degrees in Organic and Pharmaceutical Chemistry presented their research work at the symposium. Prize winners, judged by the Eli Lilly participants, were Carla Daly (1st), Catherine Slattery (2nd) and John Hayes (3rd). Other speakers included were runners up: Kevin Eccles, Graham O'Mahony, Naomi Buckley, Rebecca Deasy, John O'Donoghue, Deirdre Cunningham, Richard O'Connor.
This symposium, which will be in its tenth year in 2012, serves to mark the collaborative relationship between Eli Lilly and UCC for the development and advancement of postgraduates in Ireland.
