Note: Bennett died on 23 October of bullet wounds received in the Ballinhassig ambush a day earlier. The fatal bullet had passed through both sides of the thorax, damaging his left lung and his spinal column. He was buried in St Peter and St Paul Churchyard at Shorne in Kent.
