The Year Abroad in Italy
Study Italian and spend an unforgettable year of your degree at a university in Italy.
The Department of Italian at UCC has developed a wide range of exchanges with partner universities through the Erasmus programme. If you enrol in programmes such as the BA World Languages (CK110), the BA International (CK108) or the BComm International with Italian (CK207) you will spend your third year of the four-year degree in Italy studying your subjects. Depending on your programme, you could study at a partner university in Rome, Florence, Milan, Genova, Bologna, Venice, Palermo, or Siena. Students on the BA World Languages programme also have the option to split their year abroad between university studies and a work placement in Italy. Students who go abroad for year three will also have the support of the relevant programme director, the subject coordinator, along with UCC’s award-winning International Office.
