Sarah Nuttall
Biography
Sarah Nuttall is Professor of Literary and Cultural Studies and Director of WISER at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. She is the author or editor of numerous books including Johannesburg - The Elusive Metropolis, Beautiful/Ugly - African and Diasporic Aesthetics and the forthcoming volume Your History With Me: The Short Films of Penny Siopis. Her work is widely cited across disciplines. In 2016 she was the Research Fellow in Residence at the Du Bois Institute at Harvard University. She has collaborated with Penny Siopis over more than a decade and they have held many public conversations together.
