Ten UCC students are set to benefit from Huawei Ireland's ‘TECH4HER’ Scholarship Programme which offers financial awards to eligible female students studying STEM subjects.

As is the long-standing tradition in the School of Chemistry, and across the campus, December marks the annual Christmas Coffee Morning, a fundraising event with all proceeds going to Marymount University Hospital and Hospice in Cork.

This weekend, 88 students graduate with BSc (Hons) degrees in Chemistry, Chemistry of Pharmaceutical Compounds, Chemistry with Forensic Science, Science (Chemistry) Education and Chemical Physics.

Spectroscopy in a Suitcase (SIAS), a secondary school outreach activity which ran from March 2014 to March 2020, was recently shortlisted for a Cork Celebrates Lifelong Learning award.
