UPDATE on College Road closure

In connection with the current closures of College Road for re-surfacing, City Council and the contractor have informed us with the following UPDATE on the scheduling:
Works have been progressing very quickly, so subsequently
Phase 1 will be finished by Wednesday evening (23rd Apr)
College Road will be open again between Perrott Avenue and Main Campus Entrance by Thursday morning (24th Apr).
Phase 2 is expected to start by Thursday morning (24th Apr)
(instead previously planned 2nd May):
College Road will be closed for all vehicular traffic
between Main Campus Entrance and Gaol Walk / Highfield Av.
from Thu, 24th Apr until Sat, 26th Apr (expected)
Access to the Main Campus Entrance will only be possible from College Road (east, Donovan’s Road side). Egress will be to the East ONLY (left turn, towards Donovan’s Road).
Therefore College Road will be operating two-way between the Main Entrance and Donovan’s Road (and thereafter).
Pedestrians, please mind cars coming from both directions again! There will be NO PARKING allowed on either side of College Road.
Drivers leaving the Main Campus, please also consider egress by the West Lodge towards Gaol Walk and Western Road!
Traffic between Gaol Walk, Highfield Avenue and College Road (west, towards BonSecours Hospital) will be maintained.
The P+R Shuttle bus stop will move back from Connaught Av to the Main Campus Entrance only by start of Friday morning (25th Apr).
Phase 3
(previously planned Mon 12th May – Sun 25th May)
is now expected to start on Monday next (28th Apr)
Closure between Gaol Walk / Highfield Av and Bon Secours Hospital
Traffic between College Road (east, Main Campus Entrance), Gaol Walk and Highfield Avenue will be maintained. Access to Food Science car park will be restricted. - Further information to follow.
Pedestrian traffic alongside the works will not be affected at any time. For crossing the closed sections, defined crossing points will be provided.
