Dean of Medicine and Admissions Officer – jointly responsible for assessing applications for prospective students who may not be in good standing when making their application
Prospective students – are responsible for making their application and for contacting the Admissions Officer to apply for an exemption to the “in good standing” rule
Policy Text
Applicants who have previously been unsuccessful in any Medicine programme are deemed not to be “in good standing” and will only be considered for admission to UCC’s Medicine programmes on a case-by-case application basis, to be considered by the Dean of Medicine, and the Admissions Officer in consultation with the relevant programme director, if required. Applicants should write to the Head of the Undergraduate Admissions Office, setting out why their application should be considered, along with details of any extenuating circumstances.
