About...
Improving Governance Practices in Palestinian Higher Education Institutions. The UniGov project seeks to address weaknesses in the existing governance systems across HEIs in Palestine. By establishing a comparative study with European benchmark universities, the project seeks to establish a governance framework and then adopt innovative practices to improve existing structures. The project will strengthen the capacity and competencies of the administrative staff in 5 HEIs (direct beneficiaries). The intervention will allow the administrative staff to adopt novel practicies and embrace new values, while taking into account the cultural aspect in Palestine. The UCC is a key partner in this project, based on our experience in university governance. The project team is very experienced team and our experience will be reflected to all Palestinian partners, either through the training work packages, or during the study visits. UCC is leading the capacity building work package (WP2), including all training activities such as designing the training modules and supervise the online, face-to-face training as well as the study visits activities. UCC will also contribute to other management, project quality assurance and dissemination work packages.
