UNIC UCC at the 4th European Universities Initiative Forum

A delegation from University College Cork was delighted to represent UNIC in Maynooth on July 09-10 where Ireland’s Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, welcomed the 4th European Universities Initiative Forum to Ireland on the beautiful campus of Maynooth University in County Kildare. 

Stakeholders and representatives of European University Alliances came together under the theme "Walls That Stand, Scaffolding that Supports: The Future of European University Alliances". Discussions delved into the current status and future of the alliances, focusing especially on long-term sustainability and European competitiveness.

Highlights included the opening reception with Minister Lawless, thought-provoking plenary sessions as well as presentations by UNIC's own delegates Dr Jean van Sinderen-Law (UNIC UCC) and Lorcan Griffin (Cork City Council).

The program was rounded off with an exquisite performance of Maynooth University Chamber Choir in the College Chapel.
