16 UCC students participate in UNIC Mathematics Summer School in Istanbul

The UNIC Mathematics Summer School 2025 took place at Koç University Istanbul on June 22-29, with 16 UCC students participating.

The Summer School was co-led by University College Cork in collaboration with UNIC partner universities Koç University Istanbul, University of Lodz, University of Oulu and University of Zagreb; leads in UCC were Dr Spyridon Dendrinos and Prof. Bernard Hanzon of UCC's School of Mathematical Sciences.

Topics of study included Stochastic Processes, Fourier Analysis, Additive Combinatorics, and Diophantine m-tuples. The programme structure allowed time for daily lectures, discussions, and some free periods for networking and cultural exchange in Istanbul.
