-TY students interested in exploring career options
-Students considering Architecture on their CAO
What is included?
-Expert instruction from teaching and research staff in the Cork Centre for Architectural Education
-Practice in Architecture and Stakeholder Engagement for the built environment.
-Workshop with a working visual artist
-Materials and equipment for the summer school activities (sketching, modelling, display, exhibition, etc.)
-Material and documentation sent to attendees — can be used for design portfolios and career advancement
-Mineral refreshments during the week
Participants will gain:
-A portfolio piece for design/art/architecture applications
-Insight into architecture and design careers
-The opportunity to showcase work in a public exhibition in Cork city
Places are limited (25 participants), with 5 fully funded places available for DEIS school students. €220 fee includes all materials, equipment, and refreshments.
Day programme (09:30–15:00). Lunch is not provided, but facilities are available in the building.
