Building on scholarship that situates Italian culture within a transnational perspective and studies in the fields of Postcolonial Studies and Black Studies, this book offers an examination of temporalities through four different narratives, two literary and two cinematic, that have a mutual trait: a strong focus on time. The four works would not exist without the temporal dimension that is both a structuring device and also conveyed through key literary and cinematic images.
