The Department of Physiology was delighted to welcome the inaugural class to the launch of its new 2-year taught MSc degree in Clinical Measurement Physiology.

 

 

Dr Dervla O’Malley, the academic lead and Dr Brian McNamara, the clinical lead, along with academic and clinical staff specialising in the disciplines of cardiovascular physiology, respiratory physiology, neurophysiology and gastrointestinal physiology are supporting students in developing the knowledge, skills, and professional attributes necessary to practice as Clinical Measurement Physiologists.

This programme will appeal to graduates with a background in physiology and individuals from other healthcare professionals interested in developing professional skills in the diagnostic evaluation of patients in cardiology, vascular physiology, respiratory physiology, neurophysiology and gastrointestinal physiology. There is also the opportunity to specialise in neonatal physiology.

Intake for the 2024 cycle will open shortly. Applications for the MSc in Clinical Measurement Physiology (MSCCPL) can be made through the Postgraduate Applications website www.ucc.ie/apply
