Brenda Happell
RN, Cert Psych Nurs., BA(Hons), Dip Ed., B Ed., M Ed., PhD. Adjunct Professor
Professor Brenda Happell is a registered nurse and mental health nurse. She has published approximately 500 journal articles, and attracted $15million in competitive research funding. She was Editor of the International Journal of Mental Health Nursing for 10 years and is associate editor, Issues in Mental Health Nursing. Brenda is the lead investigator of a National Health and Medical Research Council grant: Improving the cardiometabolic health of people with psychosis: The Physical Health Nurse Consultant service, a nurse-led initiative. Brenda was awarded the Exceptional Achievement Award for Australia in 2019 and is an Equally Well Ambassador.
