Health Matters Award
The annual UCC Health Matters Award is our way of recognising a student for their dedication to improving health on campus.
As UCC has been recognised as the first Health Promoting University in Ireland, it is important to pay that recognition forward to the students on the ground that are making a real impact and difference in the overall health and wellbeing at UCC. This award seeks to honour a student whose vision, imagination, and creativity has positively influenced the advancement of health education and health promotion in UCC.
All current students at UCC who are involved in health promotion/health education in a voluntary capacity are eligible for this award.
Individuals may self nominate and nominations will be accepted from both student and staff members.
The annual winner is chosen by the Selection Committee and the award itself is presented at the Student Union's Crossover Event in May.
The nominations for the 2018 award have now closed. Nominations will be open again next spring for the 2019 award.
