Brian McNamara

Dr Brian McNamara is a UCC graduate, Physiology (BSc)1989, Medicine (MB 1992, MD 1996). He trained in medicine at Cork University Hospital, and completed his MD under the supervision of Professor Gerald O'Sullivan in the Deprtment of Physiology in 1996. He completed specialist training in Clinical Neurophysiology at Addenbrooke's Hospital Cambridge 2001 and was appointed Consultant in Clinical Neurophysiology at Cork University Hospital and the Mercy University Hospital in 2001. He is interested in all aspects of Clinical Neurophysiology and Neurology.

Research Interests 

Epilepsy, disorders of the peripheral nervous system, motor neurone disease, muscle disease.
