Brendan Curran
Biography
Dr Brendan Curran was appointed Chief Operations Officer at APC Microbiome Ireland (APC) in 2023.
Previously, Brendan was interim general manager at APC since 2021. He joined the APC in 2013 as IP & Business Development Manager, with responsibility for protecting and commercialising IP arising from the APC research programme and fostering APC industry partnerships.
Brendan has a psychology degree from UCD, an MSc in Neuroscience from King’s College London and a PhD in Neurophysiology from UCD. Following post-doctoral work in neurobiology at the Vrije University in Amsterdam Brendan returned to Ireland and joined the Health Research Board in 2004 as research evaluation manager. Prior to joining APC in 2013 he held the role of Commercialisation Case Manager at University College Cork.
