One-day Training on Methods in Migration and Superdiversity Research

Superdiversity is one of the thematic lines and defining features of the UNIC alliance. It refers to the increased and complex forms of diversification and the existence of multiple identity markers that intertwine to shape the socio-cultural reality around us.

A one-day training on methods used in migration and superdiversity research is delivered by experts of the UNIC Superdiversity network on June 2nd. It is open to all staff, PhD/post-graduate students and post-doctoral researchers across the UNIC alliance.

The training will be a hybrid event held on 2nd June 2026, 9:00-17:00 (Irish time): in person (for UCC staff and students only) on the UCC campus, Western Gateway Building, Room 1.06 or online for staff and students of UNIC partners.

  • Bilge Yabanci, University of Deusto: Sequential Mixed Methods Design for Studying Public Attitudes toward Migrants

  • Mastoureh Fathi, University College Cork: Narrative research in superdiversity and migration contexts
