New MSCA Dr. Ana Soriano joins APC
APC is delighted to welcome Dr. Ana Soriano to our team. Dr. Soriano has recently been awarded the prestigious Horizon Europe Marie Sklodowska-Curie (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowship, which will allow her to embark on an innovative project focused on the development of a new prototype of non-alcoholic beer. This research aims to align with pressing sustainability and health priorities, addressing the growing demand for healthier beverage options.
In collaboration with Dr. John Kenny and Prof. Paul Cotter, Dr. Soriano's project will be conducted at the Teagasc Food Research Centre. Together, they will explore cutting-edge techniques and formulations that not only enhance the flavor and quality of non-alcoholic beer but also minimize its environmental impact. This initiative represents a significant step forward in the beverage industry, combining scientific expertise with a commitment to sustainability.
