Welcome from the Vice President for Research and Innovation

On behalf of the Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation (OVPRI), I welcome you to the new and improved Research Support Services website.

University College Cork (UCC) is an internationally competitive, research-led University that plays a key role in the development of Ireland's knowledge-based economy. Our University is one of the premier research institutions in Ireland and, internationally, is ranked in the top 2% of universities worldwide.

The goal of UCC Research Support Services is to support and develop UCC research activities, and to assist the University research community through the provision of information, guidance and advice on every aspect of the planning, funding, execution and application of research.

We also work to communicate to the University community, and to the general public, about the quality, breadth, and significance of research carried out at UCC.

Professor Anita R. Maguire
Vice President for Research and Innovation
