Increased funding for ERC researchers moving to Europe
ERC has increased their budget for leading researchers wishing to move to Europe through European Research Council grants. They now offer an additional 1 million euro beyond the usual maximum grant to set up a laboratory or research team. If you are interested in applying to ERC with UCC as a host institution, please contact Niamh Mundow (niamh.mundow@ucc.ie) for a conversation about the tailor-made supports we can offer at proposal stage and what UCC can offer as a host institution if you are successful in securing an ERC award.
UCC internal supports for ERC applicants
Each calendar year kicks off with ERC Tuesdays, whereby each Tuesday for up to 6 weeks we run in person and online events covering workshops on proposal development, and the use of visuals, UCC policies and Enterprise Ireland funding. We also ensure to provide participants to this programme with the opportunity to meet with people involved in ERC, from awardees to past evaluation panel members. Resources and recordings from the most recent sessions have been uploaded to our internal sharepoint website.
