This November, UCC joins the national celebration of 30 years of Science Week, an initiative led by Research Ireland that honours the spirit of curiosity, innovation, and scientific discovery.

Dr Sally O’Hanlon, Technical Officer for Physical Chemistry in UCC's School of Chemistry, has completed the prestigious 2025 Herschel Programme for Women in Technical Leadership.

Huge eight-metre-long skeletons of the only dinosaurs known to have existed on the island of Ireland are set to go on display to the public for the very first time, in a spectacular new exhibition of Irish fossils.  

On 18 October, 2025, County Cork students, Dylan Ó Muirí, Gráinne Ní Chróinín, and John Buckley were awarded a Naughton Foundation Scholarship worth €25,000 at a ceremony in Trinity Business School, Trinity College Dublin.
