Developing Staff debrief toolkit - step 1 

Purpose of the current study  

The purpose of the current study is to examine debriefing practices after a post-partum haemorrhage event in maternity hospital. This research will also study how staff are affected by this event and suggest what should be available to them.  

This study will explore the following research questions:  

1. How does the involvement in the management of PPH affect staff both professionally and personally? 
2. What are the supports available to staff following a PPH? 
3. Are there differences in the supports available between professions?  
4. What emotions does the involvement in the management of PPH evoke? 
5. Suggestions of what supports that should be available to staff.
