Dr. Hemant Mehta
Biography
Hemant was a Post-Doctoral researcher within the CONNECT/MISL group in the School of Computer Science and Information Technology, University College Cork (UCC), Ireland. He earned a Ph.D. (Computer Science-Distributed Computing) in 2011. He also holds a master's and a bachelor's degree in computer science. He is a senior member of ACM (2015) and IEEE (2014). His work was in resource management for the multi-access edge computing (MEC) environment.
Research Interests
His research interest lies in the area of energy-efficient, distributed, and decentralized clouds involving fog/edge computing focusing on modern applications such as cyber-physical systems, Internet-of-Things, and big data. He is further interested in exploring aspects of Blockchain, Security and Trusted computing.
