Breakthrough Cancer Research, the official charity for the National Research Programmes administered by Cork Cancer Research Centre,  have opened the doors to their new offices with the help of long-time supporter, Sean Sherlock, TD, Minister of State at Department of Foreign Affairs with Special Responsibility for ODA, Trade Promotion and North South co-operation.

An incredible sixty per cent of Ireland's current cohort of 650 interns are scheduled to leave our shores over the coming months to seek better working conditions abroad. With this in mind, a team of interns from each of the National Intern Training Networks has organised an exciting line-up of speakers for the inaugural National Intern Conference and Social (#NICS14). This will take place in the Brookfield Centre, UCC, Cork on Saturday June 28th 2014.

The College of Medicine and Health, in conjunction with the Alimentary Pharmabiotic Centre, annual Research day was held on Wednesday 18th June 2014 at the Western Gateway Building. The theme of this year’s conference was – Food, Microbes and Molecular Medicine.

This very special exhibition opens in the Jennings Gallery, College of Medicine and Health, Brookfield Health Sciences Complex, UCC on Wednesday 18^th June and remains open until 8^th September. The exhibition features artworks loaned from a number of private collections and features what are considered the best Irish female artists of the 20^th century.
