Teddy Bear Hospital Reopens in UCC
12 Apr 2016Students from University College Cork’s School of Medicine have today reopened UCC’s College of Medicine and Health’s Teddy Bear Hospital. The hospital opens annually as a community outreach activity and aims to reduce the fear that many children have when they visit the doctor.

Skin Barrier Linked to Childhood Allergies
08 Mar 2016Research from paediatricians in University College Cork’s School of Medicine has revealed that a weakness of a newborn infant’s skin barrier can help predict which child will develop food allergies, and could in the future be used to intervene to prevent both food allergy and other allergic conditions such as asthma during the course of their childhood.
