Course Summary
This course will involve conversation and discussion which will focus primarily on Irish grammar.
The following will be mentioned as part of this course:
- The noun
- The copula
- The cases
- Plurals
- The adjective
- Numbers
- Prefixes and suffixes
- Lenition
- Using the dictionary etc
All students of UCC are welcome to attend this course. The course is specifically aimed at students who have a high standard of Irish and who would like to improve their knowledge of Irish grammar. This course will be taught completly through the medium of Irish. |

Course Details - Spring 2026
Course Dates: week commencing 2 February 2026 – week commencing 16 March 2026* (1 hour every week for 7 weeks). Please let us know when you are unavailable to attend your class on the application form. This class will be arranged at a time that is suitable to the majority of students and the tutor.
Location: Classes will be held on campus.
Deadline for Applications: Thursday, 22 January 2026.

* an extra class will be arranged for students who will miss a class due to a bank holiday.
