The English language is the main and only foreign language taught in Saudi Arabian public and privet schools. It is taught as a core subject in all Saudi learning institutions starting from primary school until the higher education level though students encounter many difficulties when speaking or communicating with others. Hanin’s current research focuses on learners’ challenges in learning speaking skills and examine the effect of Task-based Language Teaching in developing speaking skills among Saudi Arabian Universities.
