Donnchadh has been awarded this prize for his final-year Major Study composition project, Éist le Fuaim na hAbhann. Echoing Sean-nós in Contemporary Classical Composition. The project is a work for three instrumentalists that interrogates the composer’s relationship with sean-nós song and its usage as musical material in contemporary classical composition.

Over the weekend, July 26th to 28th, thirteen teams of filmmakers across Cork wrote, shot and edited five-minute films as part of the Cork City 48-Hour Filmmaking Challenge by the People's Picturehouse. The films were then judged by a jury of experts including Una Feely, Emily Murray, Sinead O'Riordan and Kenny Gaughan before being screened for all the participants. 

The brain behind every film production is the PRODUCER. Dedicated to organisation and communication, they hold the show together from the first phase of conceptualisation till the very end, post-production. They oversee budget, coordinate talent and assemble crew.
