Jean holds a BA from NUIG, a Diploma in Business Studies from Smurfit Graduate School and a Diploma in Digital Marketing. She has over 17 years event management experience both within the public and private sector, and has led a number of large conferences from concept through to completion. Prior to joining UCC Academy, Jean worked with Deloitte, where she led the marketing, communications and event management programme for its regional offices. Jean has also held marketing and public relations roles with Dairygold and Murray Consultants.

Jean joined UCC Academy in 2017 as Manager of Conference UCC, which was established to provide quality event management services, and in particular, to support the dissemination of research by enabling university conference ambassadors to host high profile conferences on the UCC campus.
