Bláthín Power (MA Applied Psychology graduate) presents her research at New Horizons Conference

For her MA thesis in Applied Psychology, Bláthín Power sought to gain a snapshot insight into the first COVID-19 lockdown period of March-May 2020, and how 3rd level students in the Rep of Ireland navigated the various psychological and social adjustments.

Bláthín Power, (MA Applied Psychology) has prepared a short video detailing her MA thesis research (Supervisor - Dr. Maria Dempsey). The purpose of her thesis was to gain a snapshot insight into the first COVID-19 lockdown period of March-May 2020, and how 3rd Level Students in the Rep of Ireland navigated the various psychological and social adjustments of a rapidly changing pandemic environment.

This demonstrated a scale of mass adjustment that interweaved into all aspects of life: academia, family life, socialising, employment, and, particularly, mental well-being. Check out the video below:
