Eoin Allen
Eoin Allen graduated from UCC in 2011 with a bachelor degree in Civil and Structural Engineering and continued studying in UCC at the ERI for a further four years completing a PhD in Engineering. Eoin’s PhD was in bio-process design and bio-fuel research under Prof Jerry Murphy. After completing his PhD, Eoin progressed to the field of Project Management with OMC working in Ireland, The UK and with international partners in China for a number of years. Returning to Cork in 2017, Eoin spent four years as a Project Manager for Johnson & Johnson (J&J) leading manufacturing and regulatory submission projects for J&J before joining UCC Academy. Eoin is a Chartered Member of the IPMA – International Project Management.
Eoin has worked on various projects while at UCC Academy since 2021, including the national antigen testing project (UniCov) for staff and students collaborating with a number of National Universities and reporting to both the Department of Health and SFI. Additionally, working with SSW HSE and CoMH on the development of an integrated research office for research and innovation based in the healthcare field.
