Darren Coughlan  is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. A thought leader and change agent with extensive Financial, Operations and Business Intelligence experience while leading cross functional teams in both service and manufacturing industries. 

From 2015 to 2020, Darren was an executive with Voxpro who launched a global service function and led a team of Workforce Management and Planning & Analytics professionals across three continents, while playing a pivotal role building service capability, broaden service offerings and fuelling 10x growth resulting in a company sale to Canadian based digital services company TELUS International.

Before joining Voxpro Darren enjoyed six years with Abtran where he was responsible for Business Planning and Contract Performance Management while supporting the CEO and COO to grow multiyear service contracts. Prior to that, Darren held a number of Financial Management positions in High Tech and Life Science based manufacturing industries and as Financial Controller with Stryker Orthopaedics, helped to establish the finance function in Cork and relocated to New Jersey USA to lead a ERP implementation for five global manufacturing sites.

Darren joined the UCC Academy in 2021 as Business Intelligence project lead and is supporting the management team with a strategic initiative to improve data, information flows and decision making across the business. Darren is currently serving as both Interim CEO and Head of Finance for the Academy.
