How is Climate Change Reshaping Clinical Trials? Share Your Experience

3 Jun 2026

Climate change and sustainability are becoming increasingly relevant in clinical trials – but how does this translate into everyday practice?
As part of the Erasmus+ GREEN-TRIALS project, we are developing a training programme that connects clinical trial methodology with environmental sustainability

📝 Take part in a short survey (~15 minutes) and help us shape a practical, relevant curriculum for the clinical research community across Europe.

💬 We are particularly interested in:

  • your practical experience (reducing environmental impact, sustainability measures)
  • whether you’ve encountered disruptions due to climate-related events (e.g. floods, heatwaves)
  • your views on decentralisation, digital tools, or innovative approaches
  • what training, tools, or guidance would support you

👥 Who should respond?

  • clinical trialists, study coordinators and investigators
  • sponsors, trial managers, monitors, methodologists

👉 This is not just about “going green” – sustainable approaches can also improve diversity, equity and inclusion, efficiency, and resilience of clinical trials

🙏 Thank you for your time and feel free to share within your network.
