Does the EU effecticely promote anti-discrimination rights in its neighbourhood? How do the legal agreements with Northern Ireland (as part of the UK as the EU's new Western neighbourhood) and Ukraine contribute to this? Does EU anti-discrimination law have integrative capacity beyond the bloc's borders? What can be done to counter the (ab)use of anti-discrimination law by the religious right in challenging gender equality regimes?

These are questions at the core of the seminar. The Seminar will be chaired by Dr Mary C Murphy (UCC), and the academic context introduced by Prof Dagmar Schiek (UCD). We have secured Professor Rory O'Connell (Ulster University), and Mariya Yasenovska, a human rights and anti-discrimination expert (European Disability Forum), as key note speakers on Ireland/Northern Ireland and Ukraine respectively. We invite further papers with a deadline of 15 January 2024 - Call f Papers EU ADL NI Ukraine 2-2024
