Dr Vahid Aryanpur, has been appointed as a Lead Author for Working Group III of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) (AR7).
Dr. Vahid Aryanpur will contribute to Chapter 11: Transport and Mobility Services and Systems, focusing on mitigation strategies for passenger and freight transport.
Dr. Vahid Aryanpur will contribute to Chapter 11: Transport and Mobility Services and Systems, focusing on mitigation strategies for passenger and freight transport. His work will explore how demand management and emerging technologies can reduce emissions across all modes of transport, from private cars and trucks to aviation and shipping.
This appointment is part of a major global effort, with 664 experts from 111 countries selected to shape the IPCC’s next comprehensive climate assessment. The AR7 will inform international climate policy through to 2029.
