National Workplace Wellbeing Day

APC Community Enhances Wellbeing

 

Friday 12th April is National Workplace Wellbeing Day, and the APC Wellbeing Committee is encouraging the whole APC community to get involved!

Planned APC activities include:

Random Acts of Kindness, where colleagues can take a treat from the “APC kindness Box” and leave a surprise on a colleague’s desk with a not to say “Thank you for…….”

Meet and Greet from 10.30am – 11.30am on the 4th floor common area – bring your cup or cuppa and fruit will be provided.

UCC Friday lunchtime walk & concert to hear the UCC Choir at St Finbarre’s Cathedral  – meet in front of the Bioscience Building at 12.50pm SHARP!

Teagasc Friday lunchtime walk – meet at main reception at 1pm

Share a healthy recipe

Be kind to the planet (all week; all year) by walking, cycling or taking public transport to work.

APC researchers and staff will also participate in other activities hosted in UCC including: 

Lunchtime 5km Walk/Run at the Mardyke Arena

5-a-side soccer or tag rugby at the Mardyke Arena. Register at staffwellbeing@ucc.ie

APC Microbiome Ireland is committed to sustaining an engaged and agile community. We have established an “APC Wellbeing Committee” to raise awareness of issues around wellbeing at work and seek input from our APC Community, so that students, researchers and staff can reach their full potential in the workplace and live healthy and balanced lives.
