FemmeBiome takes major step towards commercialisation with launch of MoreMe Pioneer programme
On World Menopause Day the Irish women’s health company is inviting 250 women to take part in an early-experience programme ahead of MoreMe’s planned commercial launch in 2027.
FemmeBiome today announces the launch of its MoreMe Pioneer programme, marking a major step towards the planned commercial launch of its first product in 2027.
Led by University College Cork Professor Siobhain O’Mahony, FemmeBiome draws on more than 20 years of research into the microbiome and the gut–brain relationship. With roots in University College Cork and APC Microbiome Ireland, the company is translating that scientific expertise into products developed for women’s health.
Its first product, MoreMe, is a food supplement developed for women navigating perimenopause and menopause. The Pioneer programme will bring MoreMe into women’s everyday lives, helping FemmeBiome understand the product experience and prepare for its wider introduction next year.
The programme will involve 250 selected women, each receiving a three-month supply of MoreMe and providing structured feedback directly to the FemmeBiome team. Their experiences will help inform customer information, the support offered to customers and preparations for commercial launch.
Professor Siobhain O’Mahony, Founder and CEO of FemmeBiome & APC Microbiome Ireland Group Leader, said:
Launching the MoreMe Pioneer programme is a significant milestone for FemmeBiome. It marks our move towards commercialisation, bringing the scientific expertise behind the company into a product women can experience in their everyday lives.
We want to understand what that experience looks like: what women find clear, what questions they have and what we need to improve before a wider launch. Listening carefully at this stage will help us make better decisions as we prepare to bring MoreMe to market in 2027.
Women interested in taking part can visit femmebiome.com and select “Get Involved” to apply for the MoreMe Pioneer programme. Eligibility criteria apply, and an application does not guarantee a place. Full participation requirements and selection details will be available on the website.
