Abstract Guidelines

Abstracts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format by the presenting author only.  Only abstracts which are submitted to YLS2013.Cork@ucc.ie will be accepted.  Abstracts should be no longer than 1600 characters or approximately 300 words (not including title and authors) and prepared as a single paragraph and single-spaced.  No photos or tables will be accepted with or in the abstracts.

The submitted file should also include details of ALL authors, each authors' affiliation and their location.

Use the following format:

Smith, M.₁; Jones, J.₂; Barker, C.₂ 

₁ University of Texas, San Antonio, Texas USA; ² University of Colorado, Denver, Colorado USA.

Poster details

Posters must be size A0 (84.1 x 118.4cm) and in portrait orientation.

We will provide means of attaching posters to poster boards (e.g. drawing pins, velcro tape etc.). 

Oral presentation details

Oral presentations will be 10 minutes plus 5 minutes of questions.

Full AV equipment will be available.

Please bring presentations on suitable media (e.g. USB stick/drive) so that they can be loaded and tested prior to each session of talks. This will help each session run smoother and minimise disruption between talks.

Prizes

We have a number of prizes to be awarded for the best oral and poster presentations.
