Why this is important
The sports and social club is of and by the UCC staff community – it lives and breathes through the collaboration, time and effort of our colleagues and friends. The committee of the sports and social club is made up entirely of volunteers. Like you, they are ordinary members of staff of UCC, and ordinary members of the sports and social club who want to enjoy the social aspect of work.
We need new volunteers to step up and join us on the committee and help us make the most of the social side of working in UCC. If you feel like you’ve enjoyed our events and benefits over the years (such as our bowling nights, cinema tickets, childrens sports and Christmas parties for example) and you’d like to give back, do come along to the AGM and join the committee. Or If you haven’t enjoyed these and feel like you have ideas about how sports and social should be done better in UCC, then also come along to the AGM and join our committee.
