Pat Cotter (General Services) and the Deerpark Community Association hosted their annual Children's Halloween Party in the Aula Maxima. Entry was free. Donations welcomed at the door for the The Children's Leukaemia Association (Mercy Hospital).

National Women's Waterski Fun Day
Sunday 14th August - 10am - 4pm
Carrig Waterski & Wakeboard Centre
This unique event promises to be an exciting day out! We're offering experienced waterski and wakeboard coaching, free equipment hire (wetsuits, skis, wakeboard, life-vests), and use of club facilities (changing rooms, hot shower). Tea/coffee, pastries and a BBQ will be provided on the day.
Waterskiing is safe, fun, and will put a huge smile on your face! It's open to women of all ages and abilities, and of course the whole family is welcome.

Call for players - UCC United
Formed in 2006, UCC United staff soccer club has both a male and female team. Currently, the men’s team is looking to recruit players for the 2011/2012 season.
UCC Utd play in the First Division of the Cork Business & Shipping League and have just completed a successful season. They train one night a week and play approximately 30 weekend matches in a season which runs from September to May.
If you are interested in joining the club and taking part in pre-season training, please contact Aodh at a.quinlivan@ucc.ie.
Grant Funding for Staff Clubs & Societies
The UCC Staff Sports and Social Club makes funding available to UCC staff clubs and societies which are non-for-profit and have been/are being established for the benefit of staff in the university.
The application process for grant funding for 2011-12 has now closed. Successful clubs wil be notified in early June.
Orienteering Event
Have you ever tried orienteering? The Irish Orienteering Association run regular orienteering events suitable for all levels, including children. Just turn up and try it.

Members' Cinema Ticket Offer
Following the success and popularity of our first cinema ticket offer for members, vouchers are available again. To give you, the members, even better value, the cinema vouchers will be available at the reduced price of €5 each.
Vouchers are available to members only, limited to 2 per purchase, from the UCC Visitors' Centre. Vouchers can be redeemed in any Gate Cinema; Cork, Douglas, Mallow or Midleton.
