Student Reviewer Training
The Quality Enhancement Unit provides comprehensive guidance and support to students who serve as student reviewers at UCC. This includes a range of resources from the beginning to the end of their Student Reviewer journey.
Student Reviewer journey; before joining the Student Reviewer Panel; during the Student Reviewer service for a quality review; after the Student Reviewer service for a quality review.

To join the Student Reviewer Panel for any given year, successful applicants need to take part in a two-hour long training session. They are also required to complete two exercises ahead of the training session so that they can gain relevant experience of what the service will entail in terms of skills and tasks. The training session requires active participation by attendees and comprises various components:
- Survey of participants’ own prior understanding, expectations and needs;
- Overview of quality review processes and role;
- In person testimonials by and Q&A with former Student Reviewers;
- Preparatory exercises discussion and Site Visit role play
- Post-Training follow-up
- Q&A sessions
